Sandringham Estate, famed as the private country retreat of the British royal family, is located in the village of Sandringham, in the county of Norfolk, England.

Head to Sandringham, Norfolk, just south of Dersingham and north-east of King's Lynn.

Address
Sandringham, Norfolk. PE35 6EH

Find us on Google Maps.

Tickets must be pre-booked online in advance.

Limited tickets are available for each timeslot, with many slots selling out.

As you drive into the estate, please follow our directional signage and our stewards who will direct you into the designated Luminate Car Park. All of our visitors will be using the main Sandringham visitor centre car parks. The correct post code for your Sat Nav devices is PE35 6EH

Parking is £6 per car for all of our Luminate visitors (normally priced at £6.50 for up to 3 hours). Please remember to add this to your booking when buying your entry tickets.

We invest heavily in our car parks, in terms of lighting, staffing and trackway where necessary in order to ensure that everyone who attends Luminate can park safely and easily. On popular nights, parking spaces are in huge demand, so if we hopefully reduce the number of cars that visitors arrive in, more people will get to experience Luminate on their preferred dates. We are very keen to reduce our environmental footprint wherever possible and hope that a parking charge will encourage our visitors to car share wherever possible. Plus you get to share the build up of excitement along the way!

Blue Badge Holders will be parked in the disabled car park area, as close to the pedestrian entrance to the trail as possible. NB - We can not guarantee a blue badge space but will endeavour to park you as close as possible if the separate blue badge car park is full.

Before or after your trail, enjoy hot food and drinks in the courtyard. Along the route, warm up with a cup of mulled wine and toast marshmallows over crackling fire pits.

The trail has been created to be as accessible as possible within the context of the natural site of Sandringham Country Park . All of the route is outside and not under cover. The route is all based across paths, however, please note that some of the paths are loose bark/chippings, which may be tricky to traverse in adverse weather. Whilst care has been taken to remove all known trip hazards, the trail does take place in a country park, so may have stones/leaves/twigs etc, across the path. There will be some sections where cabling crosses the trail, these will be covered by cable ramp covers.

Accessible toilets are situated at the Courtyard.

If extreme weather conditions mean that the trail is not fully accessible for people using wheeled mobility aids (bearing in mind the general limitations as set out above), consideration will be made on a case by case basis to allow tickets to be transferred to an alternative date when the ground conditions are more suitable.

We want everybody who attends Luminate to have a wonderful experience with us and our stewards on the night will all be happy to assist you wherever possible. If you need any assistance on the night, please just ask.

You are welcome to bring your own mobility scooter. Unfortunately, we don't have any available to hire.

If you have any further questions about access that are not covered by the above, please contact us via email on access@luminatesandringham.com

Get ready for a magical evening!

Wander through the enchanting illuminated trail at Sandringham Estate, all set to soothing ambient tunes. As you stroll through the historic Country Park, you'll encounter around 13 dazzling highlights that will leave you in awe.

The trail is about a mile long and should take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your pace.

Cosy up by our fire pit and enjoy toasting marshmallows (bring your own or buy them on-site!). Treat yourself to delicious food and drinks from the Sandringham Courtyard cafe/kiosk at the start or end of your journey, or enjoy a warm drink from our kiosk halfway through.

Remember, it’s an outdoor adventure during winter nights, so it can get chilly, dark, and sometimes wet. Bundle up and wear sturdy shoes!

Keep in mind, Luminate doesn't feature traditional festive decorations or Father Christmas—he's busy up at the North Pole preparing for the big day!

Follow the twinkling festoon lights along the path, and you'll never lose your way! Friendly stewards are also there along the trail to guide you, ensuring you have a smooth and enjoyable experience.

To keep everyone safe and make sure you have an incredible time, please stick to the clearly marked trail. We kindly ask that children and vulnerable adults are always closely watched. Since Luminate happens during winter nights at a country estate, areas off the trail might have some hidden hazards. So, please follow the path and listen to our friendly staff for any guidance.

Our team will keep an eye on the trail conditions, but remember, it's a winter evening event in a natural setting. A little extra caution goes a long way. Don't forget to keep an eye on kiddos and vulnerable folks.

Get ready to have fun with our interactive light installations! They're marked and have stewards nearby to help you out. For your safety, please avoid touching other lights or installations, and ensure children and vulnerable adults do the same. Enjoy the magic!
