WE'RE LOOKING FOR NEW FACES
We are looking for hard-working, friendly, self-motivating staff, to join us on a temporary basis over the festive period, to help us to create an amazing visitor experience at Luminate. We believe that the experience of all of our visitors is enhanced by employing friendly and engaging stewards, who are happy to talk to the general public throughout their visit to Luminate, whilst also ensuring everyone stays safe.
What Is Luminate?
We are J9 Events Ltd, running Luminate since 2019. Luminate is a 1-mile illuminated light trail with ambient music, interactive moments, and dwelling points. Food, drink, and fire pits for toasting marshmallows are available, offering a timeless experience for all ages. We look forward to working with you to make it memorable.
Where, When, Hours?
We are looking for stewards to assist throughout the dates below. Number of shifts per week can be flexible, however we are looking for people who can commit ideally to a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
- Margam Country Park (Wales) - 19th November upto 31st December 2024 (excluding Christmas day)
- Arley Hall (Cheshire) - 30th November upto 25th December 2024
- Shugborough Estate (Staffordshire) - 29th November upto 31st December 2024 (excluding Christmas day)
- Birmingham Botanical Gardens (West Midlands) - 29th November upto 1st January 2025 (excluding Christmas day)
- Coombe Abbey (Coventry) - 30th November upto 31st December 2024 (excluding Christmas day)
Hours of work can depend on a few things: number of visitors that night, your role on the trail. Approximate hours during the week (and afterwards) - 4pm-8:30pm or 9pm. Approximate hours during the weekend and last week up to Christmas - 4pm-9:30/10pm
Main Roles?
- Fire Marshall
- Entrance/ Check in
- Interactive Stewarding
- Concession Huts
The above are the main roles on site, however every steward must help in:
- Assisting/guiding people along the route
- Assisting with crowd management, flow of pedestrians
- Generally answering any queries/assisting with any issues
- Helping to ensure that all of our visitors enjoy a safe, fabulous evening with us at Luminate
Pay?
18-20 year-olds - £10.50 an hour plus pro rata holiday pay
21 and over - £12 an hour plus pro rata holiday pay
