We offer dedicated sessions on selected dates for guests with additional sensory needs. These are quieter, lower capacity times on the trail to help make your visit feel calmer and more comfortable.

We had an overwhelmingly positive response from visitors who attended previously, including those with sensory needs. By introducing quieter and less crowded sessions, we hope to make your experience with us even better.

Support from our team
All of our stewards are there to help make your night with us as smooth as possible. If you need any additional assistance during your visit, please just speak to a member of our team. Our staff are trained to recognise the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower symbol if anyone in your party wishes to wear this whilst at Luminate.

Planning your visit
Please refer to our Access section above for detailed information about the nature of the paths and general accessibility. We try not to share too much detail about the trail in advance, as for many visitors the element of surprise enhances their experience. However, we fully understand that for some people with sensory needs, having more information beforehand - rather than surprises on the night - can make a big difference.

Tickets and pricing
​​​​​​​Ticket prices for sensory friendly sessions are the same as for the rest of Luminate and entry is open to all. The lights and installations remain the same - it is the volume levels and visitor numbers that are reduced. Carer tickets are available where required, in line with our standard carer policy.

​​​​​​​To book a sensory friendly session, simply select a suitable date and time marked as a sensory friendly or quiet session in the booking calendar for your chosen venue.
