Live Updates (27/02)

We are delighted to announce that Luminate 2026 information is now live!

Plan your visit

Luminate Coombe is open from November 28th - January 1st.

In order to ensure that Luminate can be enjoyed by everyone to the utmost, it has been designed as a continuous experience, with strictly fixed entry time slots, starting from 4.30pm onwards, which must be pre-booked in advance.

To ensure the enjoyment and safety of all our visitors, we allocate a set number of tickets per timeslot and would ask that all visitors adhere to their booked timeslot. Our entry time slots are every fifteen minutes from 4.30-4.45pm through to 8.00pm – 8.15pm. At certain sites, we offer later slots on popular nights (Please check the site ticketing page for more info).

Last entry to the trail varies depending on what timeslots are for sale. If 8pm – 8:15pm is our final timeslot for sale, last entry will be 8:15pm. The trail itself closes at 90 minutes after last entry. The exact times for your day of visit will be emailed to you 2 days beforehand

BACK FOR 2026 – Dog-Friendly Nights

Dogs are welcome to join their two-legged friends on every Monday and Thursday from 3rd December, except Christmas Eve (24th December).

We also have two extra dog-friendly dates after Christmas: 28th December and 31st December.

Just look for the dog symbol on our calendar to find these dates easily.

These are the only dates when dogs are permitted at Luminate. To help make the experience enjoyable and safe for everyone, please follow these simple rules:

• Each dog must have a responsible adult supervising and controlling them at all times — maximum of two dogs per adult.
• Dogs must stay on the marked footpath.
• Keep your dog on a short lead (no extendable leads, please).
• Dogs must never be left unattended.
• If a dog shows aggressive behaviour towards people or other dogs, they won’t be able to continue on the trail.

Luminate reserves the right to refuse entry or ask any misbehaving or disruptive dogs to leave, for the safety and comfort of all visitors.

And of course, please clean up after your dog using the bins provided. 💩

Please remember: Luminate is a vibrant, sensory environment with flashing lights, smoke effects, music and crowds. If your dog may feel distressed, uneasy or reactive in these conditions, it’s best to leave them at home.

Thank you for being responsible dog owners and helping us ensure a safe, magical experience for everyone!

XL Bully Dogs
We do not allow XL Bully Dogs and/or banned or dangerous breeds at Luminate. Entry will be refused to anyone attempting to bring these breeds on site.

For the safety and enjoyment of all our visitors, dogs are NOT permitted at Luminate*

*with the exception of Guide dogs and assistance dogs

Address:  Coombe Abbey Park, Brinklow Road, Binley, Warwickshire, CV3 2AB

By Car: From the M6 motorway, exiting at junction 2, following signs for "M40 Warwick, Coventry SE".  Join the A46 Dual Carriageway. At the first roundabout, take the second exit, turning right following signs to "Coombe Park".  Take the first exit, left, at the next roundabout. At the traffic lights, turn left onto B4027. Coombe Abbey Park is about one mile on the left.

By Train: (Please check all services are operational during the opening hours of Luminate, prior to booking your tickets for Luminate).
Coombe Abbey is a short taxi ride from Coventry Station (mainline into London Euston). From Bedworth it's 5.1 miles and from Canley it's 6 miles.

As you drive into Coombe Abbey Park you will be directed to park in the main car park. Please follow our directional signage and car-parking stewards who will direct you.
If you arrive earlier than the first time slot, during the daytime operational hours, you will need a daytime car park ticket in addition to your Luminate parking ticket.

Parking is £6 per car. Remember to add this to your booking when getting those tickets to avoid any awkward "Oops, I forgot!" moments.

We’ve put a lot into our car parks, like lighting, staffing, and trackways, to make sure everyone parks safely and easily. On busy nights, parking is in high demand, so by reducing the number of cars, more folks can enjoy Luminate on their favourite dates! We're also big on reducing our environmental footprint, so we hope this charge encourages car-sharing. Plus, sharing the ride means sharing the excitement too!
If you arrive earlier than the first time slot, during the daytime operational hours, you will need a daytime car park ticket in addition to your Luminate parking ticket.

Blue Badge Holders will be parked in the disabled car park area, as close to the pedestrian entrance to the trail as possible. NB - We can not guarantee a blue badge space but will endeavour to park you as close as possible if the separate blue badge car park is full.

Please arrive no more than 10-15 minutes before your start time. Please allow time to park and head to the start of our trail in readiness for your time slot opening, but do not arrive earlier than that. We will not be able to admit you prior to your booked session time.
If you arrive earlier than the first time slot, during the daytime operational hours, you will need a daytime car park ticket in addition to your Luminate parking ticket.

Luminate takes place outdoors, during the winter, after dark. Luminate will go ahead whatever the weather (other than in very exceptional circumstances, if we consider it unsafe to open).
So it will be cold, dark and, on rainy days, wet! Please wrap up warmly & wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear suitable for winter weather.

Enjoy a 10% discount on adult tickets when you book for a group of 12 or more!

Thinking of something unique for your office party this year? We’d love to help with larger party bookings and can even arrange private hire sessions or evenings, based on availability.

Interested in a corporate booking? Drop us a line at corporate@luminate.live to chat about your needs!

This Christmas, instead of the same, boring ideas, why not treat your family and friends to a wonderful, winter walk at our mesmerising light trail at Coombe Abbey Country Park? The perfect way to bring some light, sparkle and fresh air to your festive calendar.

How do I book?

Simply go to Buy Tickets and select your chosen date & time-slot. Ensure that you check the “This is a gift” box and this will enable your gift recipient to change the date/time slot you have selected (at no extra cost). You will receive a booking confirmation email – with a detachable section to hand over to your recipient. Details of how they can transfer their date, will be included on that section.

*Please note, any changes are subject to availability and must be made at least 10 days prior to the booked session. In the unlikely event that we had to cancel Luminate all tickets purchased are fully refundable.

The trail has been created to be as accessible as possible within the context of the natural site of Coombe Abbey Country Park. All of the route is outside and not under cover. The route is all based across paths, however, please note that some of the paths are loose bark/chippings, which may be tricky to traverse in adverse weather. Whilst care has been taken to remove all known trip hazards, the trail does take place in a country park, so may have stones/leaves/twigs etc, across the path. There will be some sections where cabling crosses the trail, these will be covered by cable ramp covers.

Accessible toilets are situated at the Courtyard area and by the Kiosk in the park.

Blue badge holders will be parked in the disabled car park area, as close to the pedestrian entrance to the trail as possible.

NB- We cannot guarantee a blue badge space but will endeavour to park you as close as possible if the separate blue badge car park is full.

If extreme weather conditions mean that the trail is not fully accessible for people using wheeled mobility aids (bearing in mind the general limitations as set out above), consideration will be made on a case by case basis to allow tickets to be transferred to an alternative date when the ground conditions are more suitable.

We want everybody who attends Luminate to have a wonderful experience with us and our stewards on the night will all be happy to assist you wherever possible. If you need any assistance on the night, please just ask.

If you have any further questions about access that are not covered by the above, please contact us via email on access@luminatecoombe.com

You are welcome to bring your own mobility scooter. Unfortunately, we don't have any available to hire.

Event FAQ's

Father Christmas won't be at Luminate he is far too busy at this time of year making presents! But we can promise a unique and enchanting winter experience for the whole family to enjoy!

Get ready for a magical evening as you wander through the enchanting Coombe Abbey Park. You'll be mesmerized by stunning lights and delightful surprises at every twist and turn and with about 13 "wow" moments along this 2.4 km trail, you’re in for a treat!
Take your time and enjoy the journey, which should take between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your pace. Cosy up by the fire pit to toast some marshmallows—bring your own, or grab some on site. Don't forget to check out the yummy food and drink options at the Kiosk in the Park.
Remember, it's all outdoors, so bundle up warmly and wear some sturdy shoes to keep comfy in the winter chill. While we won't have traditional festive decorations or a visit from Father Christmas (he's busy at the North Pole!), the experience will be nothing short of magical. Enjoy!

Get ready to indulge in some tasty festive treats and drinks during your visit! We'll share more details soon, but you can count on hot chocolate, tea, coffee, mulled wine, and marshmallows by the fire pit. Feel free to bring your own marshmallows, just remember the skewers!
🚫 No outside alcohol allowed—anyone caught with it will be asked to leave, no refunds.

To keep everyone safe and having fun , please stick to the marked trail throughout your visit. Children and vulnerable adults should always have a watchful eye on them. Luminate happens in the winter evenings at a country estate, and areas off the trail might have hidden trip hazards. So, let's keep to the path and follow any advice from our friendly stewards.

Be aware that there are unfenced water areas off the trail at Luminate Coombe, so extra supervision for children and vulnerable adults is important.

Our team will keep an eye on trail conditions, but remember, it's a winter evening event in the great outdoors. A little extra caution will go a long way, especially when supervising kids and vulnerable adults.

Enjoy our interactive light installations—they're there for you to play with! These will be clearly marked, and our helpful stewards will be nearby to guide you. For safety and an enjoyable experience, please avoid touching other light or electrical setups, and keep an eye on the little ones.

Follow the twinkling festoon lights along the path, and you'll never lose your way! Friendly stewards are also there along the trail to guide you, ensuring you have a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Our light trails feature awesome pulsating and flashing light effects, with some cool haze and smoke effects along the way. Please note, certain parts might not be suitable for those with balance disorders. If you have any concerns or need any help before your visit, feel free to reach out to us at sensory@luminate.live, and we'll be happy to assist!

If you've left something behind at Luminate, don't panic! Just shoot us an email at info@luminatecoombe.com with full details of the night and timeslot you attended and what you have lost and we will do our best to help you.

Toilets (including accessible toilets) are situated just prior to the start of the trail by the Cafe in the Park (and can be accessed again at the end of the trail) and approximately half way around the trail by the Kiosk in the Park.

All of the trail is outside and is not under-cover. All visitors are reminded that this is an outdoor event, taking place in the winter and the weather may well be inclement. Please wrap up warm and wear appropriate outdoor winter clothing and appropriate footwear.

In many areas the lighting will be low level as part of the experience. We do encourage visitors to bring along a torch in case of an emergency but would ask, for your own enjoyment, to only use this if necessary. Please ensure that children and vulnerable adults are supervised at all times.

For your own safety and enjoyment, please at all times remain on the clearly marked trail. Follow the festoon!

We encourage you to take photographs and to share these on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram on #luminatecoombe . You can also keep updated about Luminate Coombe by following us at @luminatecoombe.

Luminate Coombe is working with a number of local charities this year. For any further Registered Charity enquiries, please email charity@luminatecoombe.com
